Teaching Personnel are looking for teachers for cover requirements in a special needs schools in Brighton.
QTS is required as planning and teaching small classes will be part of the role responsibilities. However, those with equivalent teaching qualifications/SEN teaching experience may be considered.
You will be leading a small class in a range of subjects and will need to be flexible with an excellent approach to teaching children in SEN settings. Teaching work will be provided by the school but teachers must be open to supporting with planning and cover across the school where required.
The schools you will be working in will be SEN settings, catering for pupils from 5-18 years, with a range of SEN needs including medical needs, a diagnosis of autism, speech and language communication needs, challenging behaviour, Moderate Learning Difficulties and/or severe learning difficulties.
Location: Brighton (and surrounding areas)
Role: Teacher (SEN)
Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm Monday to Fridays
We are encouraging applicants with SEN teaching experience in Special Need Schools, Pupil Referral Units, primary schools and/or nurseries and/or secondary schools to apply.
You will have the following:
• Minimum 1 year relevant SEN/teaching experience
• QTS, PGCE or equivalent qualification
• Full-time availability (Mon to Fri 8:30 - 4:00pm)
• A valid child DBS Certificate (on the update service) that will need to be taken to the school on first day - or be willing to apply for one (Teaching Personnel can assist you in this)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
