Position: Secondary Science Teacher (Full-time or Part-time)

The Role: The School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching combined sciences (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) at the secondary level. However, we welcome applicants with specialisms in specific areas of science, as flexibility is one of our core values. The position is available for full-time or part-time employment, with part-time being a minimum of 3 days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective science lessons to students at various levels.
  • Develop and adapt teaching materials to meet the needs of different learning styles.
  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and consistent approach to teaching.
  • Participate in school activities and contribute to the overall ethos of the School.

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree in Science or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching science at the secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
