Job description

MUSIC/DRAMA TEACHER 

Start date:  ASAP.
Hours: 
08:30am-15:00pm.
Pay: 
Paid to scale based on experience, starting at £157.66 per day (NQT).

A rare opportunity has arisen in the Cardiff area for a Drama/Music Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school on a full-time basis. This is an exciting role teaching across key stages 3 and 4, teaching a hybrid timetable of Drama and Music. The school are open to accepting Newly Qualified Teachers and those coming to the end of their final year PGCE.

Placement details:

  • Monday to Friday (term time only).
  • May start until July 2024 (next academic year pending successful review).
  • Teaching KS3 and KS4 Drama and Music.
  • Lesson planning, marking and parents evening’ attendance.
  • Paid to scale in line with the Welsh framework.

The school have a supportive and inspiring Drama/Music department and are hoping to offer someone the opportunity to provide a passionate and innovative teaching experience. If you hold only one of the above qualifications, the school have shown interest in being flexible with the timetable to help facilitate the right applicant.

School details:

  • Mixed 11-16 secondary school.
  • Permanent school contract opportunities available.
  • Seeking a teacher for immediate start until July (at the very least).
  • Onsite car park and access to public transport links.
  • Supportive senior leadership team.
  • Based in Cardiff area.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Music, Drama or Performing Arts
  • Passionate about Teaching within education
  • Strong behaviour management
  • QTS Status
  • Enhanced DBS and Educational Workforce Council registered.
