We have a great opportunity to work within a fantastic SEN school in the Farnborough. The school provides a learning environment and structure that is stimulating and engaging, helping every student to effectively learn and develop, whilst also giving them the tools and confidence needed to achieve this.
Our Hampshire SEN Branch are looking for an Science specialist with experience working with learners with additional needs to join our growing team this year. The position is to work with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 learners who have various learning difficulties and are working through a specialised curriculum.
The successful Science Teacher will:
- Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box.
- Demonstrate commitment to professional development and pupils’ learning and development
- Have good organisational skills with high expectations of achievement and behaviour
- Have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, parents and students
- Great classroom management skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Effectively challenge pupils to achieve, using a range of engaging methods
As an SEN Science Teacher, you will support within small groups and on a 1:1 basis and be able to work alongside other professionals including social workers, local authorities to ensure the child's lesson plans are accessible. The school do offer bespoke educational plans for each pupil, so successful candidates will be required to adapt their teaching to each individual pupil.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
