Headteacher – Permanent Position
Location: Wolverhampton
A highly reputable, award-winning group of special educational needs (SEN) schools is seeking an exceptional Headteacher to lead one of their specialist schools in Wolverhampton. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to guide a dedicated team in delivering outstanding education and care to children and young people with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader with a clear vision, strong values, and the ability to inspire both staff and students to achieve their very best.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure the continued success and development of the school.

Maintain and further enhance the high standards of teaching, learning, and pastoral care.

Lead and manage staff effectively, fostering a positive, collaborative, and professional culture.

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safeguarding policies, and best practice in SEN provision.
-
Develop strong partnerships with parents, carers, governors, and external agencies.
-
Oversee the effective use of resources and ensure financial stability.

Drive innovation in curriculum design and delivery to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven leadership experience, ideally within an SEN setting.

A strong track record of school improvement and raising standards.

In-depth knowledge of SEN legislation, guidance, and effective provision.

Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
-
The ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.

Strategic thinking combined with a hands-on, supportive leadership style.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
