Job description
A highly regarded and award-winning Special Educational Needs (SEN) school group is seeking dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join their expanding team in Wolverhampton. Renowned for delivering outstanding education and care, this school group is committed to nurturing the potential of every pupil through a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
The successful candidates will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with a range of complex learning needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Working closely with teachers and therapists, SEN Teaching Assistants will help to implement tailored learning plans, encourage pupil progress, and promote independence in a safe and structured setting.
Requirements:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, either in an educational or care setting
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to pupil welfare
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
- Candidates must have the right to work in the UK – this school group cannot offer sponsorship

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
