SEN- Teaching Assistant- Team- Teach

Part time position for a teaching assistant with extensive experience working with pupils with SEN needs. The position is part time and is initially for the first school term September – October 2017; however for the appropriate candidate there may be an opportunity for a permeant position within the school.

This setting is an outstanding Multi Academy trust which runs across 4 sites all of which are located in Oldham. All sites cater for individuals between 4 - 19 with a Statement of SEN or an EHCP, on the autistic spectrum and/or have significant communication and interaction difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).

The role will involve working closely with a teacher to assure that all pupils have the opportunity to achieve their optimal educational development. Due to the individual needs of the pupils the ideal teaching assistant will have experience of planning and delivering specialised interventions designed to support the optimal development of all pupils. We would also welcome applications from those who are less experienced but have personal experiences supporting individuals with SEN.

The ideal teaching assistant will have:

- A level 2 teaching assistant qualification (level 3 desirably)

- Team- Teach training (can be provided)

- An understanding of how to cater for pupils with SEN needs

- A commitment to assuring that all pupils can achieve their optimal academic potential

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
