A lively PRU in Newham are looking for long term and ad hoc Teaching Assistants to mentor challenging students who have been excluded from mainstream schools. The candidates will have an advantage if they have Team Teach training, however the successful candidates most importantly will have the right attitude; be pro active, taking initiative, being flexible and have a passion to work with students who have behavioural difficulties.

Working as a Teaching Assistant here, you will be required to support the students within the classroom settings on a 1:1 basis being committed to supporting their academic development in a confident, consistent manner.

The suitable candidates will have the following:

• Team Teach training

• Experience with PRU students, SEN and/or educational environments

• Passion to work with Behavioural difficulties

• Confident personality

• Any relevant experience with Physical Intervention, Counselling or Youth Work

• Immediate start dates available in September (Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm)
