Learning support assistant with behaviour experience required.
A full time opportunity has become available in a larger than average primary school 15 minutes away from the Salford / Manchester border. The school is looking to recruit a learning support assistant with extensive experience supporting pupils with barriers to learning, who display challenging behaviour.
The school is located in the Kersal area of Salford and enrols over 600 pupils each year from the surrounding areas of Salford. Due to an increase in the number of exclusions this academic year, the special needs co-ordinator wants to interview and recruit a behaviour support assistant straight away on a full time and long term basis.
To be considered for this learning support assistant role, you will need to have a teaching assistant qualification or a degree and significant experience working with children with behavioural needs. This is a full time post starting straight away if possible and you will need to have suitable experience and references to be considered.
The Role:
• Supporting challenging behaviour in key stage 1
• Working in class and withdrawal from class where appropriate
• Including and accessing the mainstream curriculum where possible
• Individual 1:1 support to engage and develop learning and behaviour
If you are interested in this learning support assistant post and have extensive experience working with challenging behaviour, please email your CV to richard.axon@teachingpersonnel.com straight away or call 0161 242 1792.
