Secondary Science Teacher - September Start
Location: Clapham
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £140 - £235 Per day
Job Duties:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and interactive science lessons for secondary school students
- Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic growth and personal development
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and educational resources
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in Science or related field
- Experience teaching science at the secondary level
Education:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Science or related field
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) is desirable
Experience:
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting
- Demonstrated track record of improving student outcomes
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of the secondary science curriculum
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Education or Science
- Experience with exam board requirements and assessment
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with regular school hours
- Classroom-based teaching with occasional extracurricular responsibilities
- Work closely with students, parents, and colleagues in a collaborative environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
