Secondary Science Teacher - September Start

Location: Clapham

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £140 - £235 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and interactive science lessons for secondary school students
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic growth and personal development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and educational resources
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Science or related field
  • Experience teaching science at the secondary level

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Science or related field
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) is desirable

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary school setting
  • Demonstrated track record of improving student outcomes

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the secondary science curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Education or Science
  • Experience with exam board requirements and assessment

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with regular school hours
  • Classroom-based teaching with occasional extracurricular responsibilities
  • Work closely with students, parents, and colleagues in a collaborative environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
