Salary: Competitive, Dependent on experience
Start: September 2024, sooner if possible
Responsibilities:
*Deliver engaging, coherent and motivating lessons to students across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and potentially Key Stage 5.
*Develop and utilize comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials that cater to varied learning needs and styles.
*Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and effective feedback to students and parents.
*Implement and uphold classroom management strategies to create a structured learning environment.
*Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and coordinate science programs.
*Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to staff meetings and school training sessions.
*Participate in extracurricular activities such as science clubs, school outings, and educational competitions.
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or equivalent teaching certification.
*Bachelor’s degree in Science or a closely related field.
*Proven experience in teaching Science at secondary level, with a strong record of student achievement.
*Familiarity with the current curriculum and examination requirements for Science.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
*Ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge students through innovative teaching practices.
*A commitment to the school’s ethos and its focus on holistic development.
*Enhanced DBS check.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
