SEAL- Teaching Assistant- Team- Teach

Full time position for a SEAL teaching assistant commencing in September 2017. A special school in Bury are working in collaboration with teaching personnel are currently looking to recruit a special needs teaching assistant who has extensive experience working with SEAL. Initially, the position is temporary from September- December 2017 however; there could be the opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

The role will involve planning and delivering lessons to support and encourage the holistic develop-pent of pupils with SEMH needs. Due to the specific needs of the pupils the ideal teaching assistant will have a considerable amount of experience in supporting and encouraging the development of pupils with SEAL needs. The ideal teaching assistant will also have an in-depth understanding of social and emotional factors that may have an impact on pupil’s educational achievement.

The ideal teaching assistant will have:

- Level 2 Teaching assistant (Level 3 desirable)

- Team- Training (can be provided)

- Extensive experience working with pupils with social and emotional needs

- Experience working within a special needs setting (school preferably)

- Experience of delivering targeted interventions

- An in-depth understanding of how to support pupils with social and emotional needs in achieving their optimal potential

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
