A Secondary School Oldham are currently looking to recruit a Science Teacher commencing in January 2018. The role is a full time and permanent position which will involve working 5 days per week, so would suit a Secondary Teacher who is looking for an opportunity to transition into Specialist education.
The Setting is located in Oldham and is part of a Multi-agency Trust. In it's most recent OFSTED inspection in July 2018 the Setting was rated by OFSTED as outstanding in all areas. The Setting caters for pupils with SEN including those with: PMLD, MLD and significant interaction and communication difficulties.
For this particular role the successful Science Teacher will be based at a Secondary SEN site. This particular role will involve planning and delivering sessions to support Key Stage 2 pupils in achieving their optimal potential in GCSE Science. The pupils within the class have various needs including: moderate learning difficulties and ASC. The vast majority of pupils in the class are working in line with the Secondary National Curriculum and are achieving age related expectations.
The ideal Teacher will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (essential)
- A undergraduate degree in Science (preferable)
- A commitment to supporting pupils in reaching their full potential in Science
