Science Teacher (KS3/KS4) – Full-Time – Tameside
Location: Tameside, Greater Manchester
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-Term or Permanent
Salary: Main Pay Scale M1 to Upper Pay Scale UPS3
A successful and forward-thinking secondary school in Tameside is looking to appoint a Science Teacher to teach General Science across KS3 and KS4. This is a full-time role starting in September and is open to both experienced teachers and confident ECTs.
Role Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned Science lessons across KS3 and KS4

Prepare students for internal assessments and external GCSE examinations
-
Differentiate resources and teaching strategies for varying ability levels
-
Collaborate with the Science department on curriculum planning, moderation, and revision activities
-
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, progress, and engagement
The Ideal Candidate Will:
-
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
-
Have subject specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
-
Be confident teaching across the full secondary age range (11–16)
-
Be committed to high standards of teaching and behaviour management
-
Have a passion for science and inspiring young learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
