Science Teacher

The Head Teacher of a large RC secondary school in Salford are in the process of recruiting for a full-time Science teacher to join their team from January 2020. This position is an open vacancy, and a permanent position will be offered to the successful Science teacher following an initial temporary period as discussed at interview.

“The incoming Science teacher will have access to state of the art classrooms, laboratories and will join a team of seven dedicated Science teachers, and two experienced Science Technicians. This position will incorporate teaching all areas of Science – Biology, Chemistry and Physics across Key Stage Three and a specialist subject to GCSE. The secondary school was refurbished during the Salford Schools’ Refurbishment Programme in 2011 and due to this, there is access to open learning spaces, hubs for additional support and intervention alongside state of art facilities. The school currently has 1,200 pupils on roll and with plans for further expansion in 2020, there will be further opportunities.

Situated near to Worsley, Salford our partner secondary school can be accessed via the A580 (East Lancashire Road). For non-drivers, there are a number of public transportation links that lead directly to the school from neighbouring areas Bolton, Wigan and Trafford.
