Secondary school based in Tameside requires a teacher of Religious Education to start a post before October half term. This is a full time position covering a maternity to Easter and potentially longer dependant on the returning teacher.
The position will consist of KS3 and KS4 RE but you will be expected to assist the Humanities department where required delivering Geography and History. The school received a “Good” grading in their latest Ofsted report and the senior leadership and management was a particularly strong feature. Religious Education teachers will need to adhere to the schools ethos, values and behaviour policies.
In recent years the school has achieved just below the national average of 55% students achieving at least 5 A*-C grades however the Humanities department has consistently been one of the highest performing departments in the school. Located in the SK15 post code of Tameside the school has local and easily accessible bus, train routes.
