Qualified Humanities Teacher

The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to contribute to Key Stage 5 teaching for suitable applicants. We welcome applications from teachers of History, Geography, or Religious Education, who are committed to high standards, motivated by student success, and eager to make a positive impact both inside and outside the classroom.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver inspiring Humanities lessons that stretch and challenge learners of all abilities.

• Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, providing feedback that drives improvement and achievement.

• Create a safe, stimulating classroom environment where students feel supported, valued and motivated.

• Contribute to curriculum development, schemes of work and innovative teaching strategies within the department.

• Play an active role in extracurricular activities, trips and enrichment opportunities to extend learning beyond the classroom.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and carers to ensure the best outcomes for every student.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with the ability to teach Humanities subjects at KS3 and KS4.

• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for History, Geography or Religious Education.

• The ability to engage, challenge and motivate students, fostering curiosity and critical thinking.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

• Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to contribute effectively as part of a team.

• Dedication to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
