Graduate Teaching Assistant

  • £55 - £65 per day depending upon previous experience
  • Full time and part time opportunities available, dependent on availability
  • Previous experience working with young people aged 11-16 is necessary for this position

Our partner Secondary school in the Prestwich region of Bury are currently seeking to appoint Graduate teaching assistants ahead of the new academic year. This position is perfect for a graduate wishing to begin a PGCE in the future.

- Full time and part time positions available

- Immediate start, continuing in September

- Supporting pupils within your subject specialism

- Covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher, with pre set work.

- £55 - £65 per day depending upon previous experience

As a Graduate teaching assistant, you will be expected to work within the classroom with identified pupils who require additional guidance. You will work alongside teachers to ensure every pupil is making progress, and occasionally cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher, which will enable you to build upon behaviour management skills and classroom presence.

The large Secondary school is located near to Prestwich, and can be accessed via the M60 Motorway. Public transportation links from Manchester City Centre also provide a direct route to the school with a tram stop directly outside.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
