Are you a recent psychology graduate eager to gain hands-on experience in education or child development? A progressive and inclusive secondary school in Levenshulme is looking for a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their support team from September 2025.

This is an ideal role for anyone considering a future in educational psychology, SEN support, mental health, or teaching. You’ll play a key role in supporting students’ learning, behaviour, and emotional development.

Role Responsibilities:

• Work closely with pupils with additional needs, including those with EHCPs and SEMH challenges

• Provide 1:1 and small group interventions focused on emotional regulation, social skills, and academic support

• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to implement tailored support strategies

• Observe and track student progress and behaviour, contributing to personalised support plans

• Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive school environment

Ideal Candidate:

• Degree in Psychology or a related subject

• Passionate about supporting young people’s emotional and educational development

• Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills

• Empathetic, patient, and proactive

• Experience working or volunteering with children, especially those with additional needs, is advantageous
