We are currently looking for learning support assistants to work within Schools to help support children with special educational needs. This role gives the opportunity to gain invaluable experience in managing challenging behaviour whilst looking at the Psychology behind behaviour, so it may appeal to Psychology graduates.
Teaching Personnel work with a number of SEN schools which cater for a variety of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, Severe Learning Difficulties, Physical Disabilities and Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. Although experience with these needs is not essential, the successful candidate will have a passion to make a difference and help children achieve their full potential.
The role will involve working on a 1:1 and small group basis with children and young people with a variety of needs. The main part of your role will be to aid and support in the young peoples learning, education and enrichment and will involve de-escalating and dealing with behaviours of an extreme nature in some schools.
