Primary Teaching Assistant
If you are looking for a full time Primary Teaching Assistant position and are available to work in Leeds, this may be the perfect opportunity for you!
Here is a quick overview of the role specification:
- Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification required (or equivalent)
- Recent experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary school
- Recent experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities on a one to one basis
- The ability to work as part of a school team and add value in a Primary department
- Contribute to the wider school community and the wider working day through staff meetings and continuous professional development opportunities
You will work with the class teacher to develop the curriculum in order to meet individual needs of students and help them progress further. The Headteacher and SENCO of the schools we are working alongside are looking for a candidate who has prior experience of working with SEND children.
This is a fantastic opportunity for any aspiring teacher who is looking to gain more experience in a school environment. The schools will also be happy to see applicants apply with experience in care settings. Likewise, the Headteachers are keen to see applicants from SEN school backgrounds.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
