Primary PPA Teacher – Supply Roles (Sheffield & Barnsley)

Location: Sheffield & Barnsley
Contract: Full-time / Part-time – Supply / Long-term cover / Day to Day
Start Date: As soon as possible


About the Role

We are currently recruiting for flexible and enthusiastic Primary PPA Teachers to work across a range of primary schools in Sheffield and Barnsley.

This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers who enjoy variety in their week, teaching different year groups and subjects across EYFS, KS1, and KS2. You will provide high-quality teaching during teachers’ PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) time, ensuring consistency and engaging learning experiences for pupils.

Whether you’re looking for long-term cover or flexible day-to-day supply, we can offer regular work to suit your schedule and preferences.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners and maintain progress across classes.
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour and learning within each classroom.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff and follow each school’s policies and ethos.
  • Provide a positive and supportive presence across a variety of primary settings.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching within primary education (EYFS–KS2).
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
