KS2 Primary Teacher – Sheffield & Barnsley

Location: Sheffield & Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Contract: Full-time / Permanent or Long-term supply
Start Date: As soon as possible


About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher to join one of our welcoming and high-achieving partner schools in Sheffield or Barnsley. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who is eager to make a real impact in the classroom and inspire a love of learning in children aged 7–11.

The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for teaching, excellent classroom management skills, and a commitment to helping every pupil achieve their potential. Whether you’re an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to start your career, we’d love to hear from you.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive and creative learning environment.
  • Assess, track and report on pupil progress in line with school policies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching within KS2 (Year 3–6).
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine commitment to promoting the wellbeing and progress of every child.
