Primary teacher required for specialist unit

We are looking for a primary trained teacher to join our provision in February 2018. This is a temporary requirement, full time Monday to Friday (term time only). We cater for children and young people from Key Stage 1 up to Key Stage 4; this particular post will be supporting children at primary level and our classes are mixed year groups. The children in our provision are excluded from mainstream education for a number of reasons. Our aim is to promote student re-engagement and reduce the number of permanent exclusions. Like all schools, we are committed to raising pupil attainment and our students work towards nationally recognised qualifications. Ideally, you will have recent experience teaching in a similar setting and in particular supporting pupils with Social, Emotional & Mental Health issues (SEMH).

We are based in Burgess Hill and have a small car park on site for staff. The nearest train station is around one mile away. As this is a temporary teacher role, you will work through Teaching Personnel. Successful applicants are required to complete Teaching Personnel's vetting process and purchase a valid DBS (with Update Service subscription).

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
