Safeguarding & Wellbeing Team Leader
Full-Time | Start ASAP


We’re looking for a temporary passionate, proactive leader to head a Safeguarding & Wellbeing Team at an educational provision in Leyland. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on supporting young people, managing complex cases, and leading a high performing team. Experience in a similar role is desired.


You’ll triage safeguarding referrals, provide early help and crisis support, work closely with internal staff and external agencies, and ensure that vulnerable students receive timely and effective support. You will also act as a key safeguarding lead, deputising when required.
 
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on safeguarding referrals, triage and case allocation
- Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress
- Support vulnerable learners through application, induction and transition
- Act as designated lead for looked-after children
- Deliver safeguarding awareness and contribute to staff training
- Use data to identify trends and support intervention strategies
- Oversee hate crime reporting and internet monitoring alerts
- Maintain safeguarding content across digital platforms
- Attend reviews, meetings and represent the team when required
- Lead, support and develop the Safeguarding & Wellbeing team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
