Primary School Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a passionate and experienced KS2 Teaching assistant to work within primary schools in and around the Taunton area. Teaching Personnel currently have teaching assistant roles to cover day to day and short term cover, with the opportunity for a possible long term position for the right candidate.

The successful teaching assistant will work with the teacher to help the pupils access the curriculum. Supporting the students development socially and emotionally whilst keeping them engaged with their work in hand is a key principle. Building relationships with other staff to assist with the general running of a typical school day. As a teaching assistant you will be willing to work with complex needs and challenging behaviour.

The Candidate

• Positive outlook and enthusiastic
• Flexible and resilient Teaching assistant who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations
• Confident working with students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
• Experience in assisting teaching KS2 from Year 3 through to Year 6
• Good communications skills with students and staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
