Physics teacher (Northampton)

Teaching Personnel are currently working on behalf of a secondary school in Northampton who is seeking a teacher of Physics to join their science department in February 2019. The school have recently celebrated excellent results in 2018 showing improvement across the curriculum at both GCSE and A Level. They believe that this is due to the team of committed staff members who go the extra mile to ensure all students have the opportunity to achieve and challenge their personal best. Judged by Ofsted as 'Good' in their most recent inspection, the school are seeking a full time teacher of science with a physics specialism to teach Key stage 3, 4 and 5 students. Science is popular among students at all key stages, with lots of students opting to take triple science at GCSE. You will be part of a dedicated and supportive department who work collaboratively to provide outstanding opportunities for students, supported by first class facilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience teaching general Science to Secondary school students with a physics specialism. NQT's and unqualified teachers are welcome to apply for this role. Successful applicants will have an engaging classroom presence and be able to manage behaviour effectively. They will be efficient at monitoring the progress of students and ensuring that results remain high. The school are looking for a member of staff who can encourage a sense of excitement around the subject.
