Teaching Personnel are seeking a Personal Care Assistant/SEN TA for a specialist SEN School in Birmingham. The school caters for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs including Autism, PMLD, SLD, SLCN and MLD. All pupils have an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and follow a differentiated curriculum catered to their needs.

Your role will be to support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis. You will support the pupils to access learning activities to meet their needs. You will also be required to support pupils in providing personal and intimate care. You may also be required to assist with feeding over the lunchtime period for individual pupils identified as requiring support in this area. There will be an element of Personal care as the pupil you will be working with will need support in everyday activities.

This is a demanding role that requires a high level of patience, energy and enthusiasm. We welcome applications from those with all levels of experience as we can provide opportunities to develop your skills through our CPD Academy - our partnership with the school has provided a number of training opportunities including courses in Assessment for Learning, Effective Behaviour Management and Curriculum Development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
