Are you looking for part time special needs Teaching Assistant work in South East London?

Are you available for day to day cover work?

I work with a secondary school for children with special needs in the Peckham area, which regularly needs supply staff to cover support staff absences within the school. They cater for students with a mixture of complex needs and mild to severe autism, with classes holding up to 10 students, a teacher and up to 3 other teaching assistants.

I am looking for Teaching Assistants who meet some or all of the following criteria:

  • Are able to support autism, including some with challenging behaviour
  • Can provide personal care where necessary, for students with PMLD
  • Have experience of supporting children with SEN either in primary or secondary
  • Can provide excellent references from previous employment
  • Have a DBS on the update service, or be willing to complete a new application asap
  • Able to travel to this school in Peckham, for a 9am start and 4pm finish
  • Hold a level 3 qualification relating to working with children (desirable but not essential)
  • Would not mind working across all the different classes in the school

Teaching Personnel has been operating in the UK for over 20 years and we are committed to improving the quality of our staff. We can offer training courses that are either free or at a reduced cost, and a dedicated consultant will liaise with you regularly to ensure you are happy in your position.

This school that you will be working in has been rated as 'outstanding' by Ofsted for its last three inspections. You will be warmly welcomed by the senior leadership team and supported by the friendly teachers and other teaching assistants.

If you would like to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant in the Peckham area, get in touch to register with Teaching Personnel by sending your CV today.
