Teaching Personnel is delighted to be supporting a welcoming and ambitious primary school in Worsley in their search for a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team from September.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support learning across the school, helping pupils develop both academically and personally.
The Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the school. You will work alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons, lead targeted interventions, and provide valuable support to pupils of varying abilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting teachers with the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities
- Delivering intervention programmes for individuals and small groups
- Leading learning sessions and covering classes when required
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Supporting pupils' academic progress and social-emotional development
- Preparing classroom resources and learning materials
- Monitoring, recording, and reporting on pupil progress
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and carers
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- An experienced Teaching Assistant or qualified HLTA
- Passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential
- Confident leading small groups and delivering planned learning activities
- Knowledgeable about effective classroom practice and behaviour management
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Organised, proactive, and adaptable in a busy school environment
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
