Salary: £167 – 233 per day

Year 3 Primary Teacher Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality, engaging lessons in line with the KS2 National Curriculum (Year 3).
• Teach core subjects including English, Maths, and Science, helping pupils build strong skills and understanding across each area.
• Use assessment data effectively to track pupil progress and support ongoing learning.
• Differentiate teaching to meet a wide range of needs, including SEND, EAL, and SEMH.
• Collaborate with colleagues such as the SENCO, teaching assistants, and SLT.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with parents and carers regarding progress and wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and assessments.
• Contribute positively to school initiatives, staff meetings, and wider school life.

Year 3 Primary Teacher Requirements

• A degree with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong understanding of assessment frameworks and effective teaching strategies.
• Commitment to delivering inclusive, high‑quality teaching that supports every child.
• A secure understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and inclusive practice.
• Ability to create a positive, engaging classroom environment where pupils feel supported and motivated.
• A professional attitude and commitment to upholding Teachers’ Standards.
