Job Title: Chemistry Teacher
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Employer: Teaching Personnel
Salary: £140–£220 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher to work in one of our partner secondary schools in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and deliver high-quality science education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for Key Stage 5 teaching depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations

  • Work collaboratively with the wider Science department and school staff

  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Specialism in Chemistry or Science

  • Experience teaching in a UK secondary school setting preferred

  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for Chemistry

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
