Biology Teacher – Sheffield
Employer: Teaching Personnel
Contract: Full time / Long-term or Supply
Start Date: ASAP / Flexible
Salary: £150 - £220 per day (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic Biology Teacher to work in a partner secondary school in Sheffield. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive science department and inspire students to develop curiosity and confidence in science.

We welcome applications from experienced teachers and confident Early Career Teachers committed to delivering engaging Biology lessons.

About the Role
As a Biology Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver Biology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with possible Key Stage 5 teaching.

  • Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with the curriculum.

  • Teach core topics including cells, organisation, infection and response, bioenergetics, homeostasis, and ecology.

  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to support achievement.

  • Maintain a positive classroom environment and manage behaviour effectively.

  • Work collaboratively with the science department.

  • Fulfil safeguarding and professional responsibilities.

About You
We are looking for a Biology Teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Has experience teaching Biology at secondary level.

  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for science.

  • Can engage learners of all abilities and manage behaviour confidently.

  • Is organised, reliable, and committed to development.

  • Holds, or is willing to apply for, an enhanced DBS check.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
