Teaching Personnel are excited to be working with a supportive and forward-thinking school in Dorchester to recruit a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – or an experienced candidate looking to move into pastoral cover – for a full-time role running until the end of the academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a rewarding position where you can make a genuine difference to pupils’ academic progress and wellbeing.

The Role

• Full-time position, Monday to Friday
• Delivering small group interventions and supporting whole-class learning (HLTA)
  or
• Providing structured pastoral cover, supporting pupils with behaviour, attendance and wellbeing
• Working closely with teaching staff and senior leaders
• Supporting pupils across the school to ensure positive engagement and progress

The Ideal Candidate

• HLTA status or strong classroom/pastoral experience
• Confident leading groups independently
• Calm, resilient and nurturing in approach
• Happy to commute to Dorchester
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred — or Teaching Personnel can support you in applying for one
