Pastoral Senior Leader
Manchester
Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint a member of Senior Leadership for a temporary Maternity Cover at a successful secondary academy in South Manchester. This is a full time role commencing in February 2020 (earlier if possible) until the end of the academic year.
The successful Senior Leader will work closely with the principal and senior leadership team and will take responsibility of leading the academy’s Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural (SMSC) programme. As a Senior Leader in charge of the SMSC programme, you will help implement a thoughtful and wide-ranging promotion of pupil’s social, moral, social and cultural development.
If successful, you will play an important role in the overall leadership and management of the academy and will have high aspirations, excellent classroom management and strong belief in the schools ethos and vision of achievement, citizenship and participation.
To apply for this role, candidates must:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Have experience working in a secondary school’s Senior Leadership team
- Have high expectations of all students and be passionate about creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Be available to cover a staff maternity cover from February 2020 (earlier if possible) until the end of the academic year
Salary for this role will reflect teaching experience and will be in line with MPS/UPS (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490). The successful Senior Leader will join a small successful secondary academy located in South Manchester, located just a 20 minute drive from the city centre. The school welcomes students from a variety of backgrounds and is committed to ensuring that all barriers to learning are removed. We are looking for a member of Senior Leadership who will join this successful school and will contribute to the academy’s vision.
