With schools now closed due to COVID-19, there is a need for Tutors to work in an online capacity with students whilst they are not in full time education. Schools require tutors across the subjects to be able to competently deliver sessions using an online platform.
Pay for this role: Between GBP18 and GBP25 based on requirements and experience.

Given current circumstances, it is imperative that the required tutor will be able to manage expectations with regards to completing work. It is also of high importance that the tutor can set tasks to be completed away from the online platform, to both reinforce learning as well as encourage independent learning.
Further key aspects that the tutor will have to consider are as follows:
- Managing workloads, and being able to effectively slow the learning process down to ensure that the student has been able to take all information on board.
- Working closely with the individual (s) to ensure that information has been processed, whilst also being able to offer alternatives.
- Being able to obtain focus from students who may struggle to engage with the learning process.
- Considering the difficulties that students may face when learning online and being able to provide quick solutions to any problems that could be faced.
- Communicating with the school to relay any issues that may arise within the online learning process, as well as offering feedback to teaching staff/parents as well as the students whenever necessary.
- Working on an individual basis with students, to reinforce any learning that has been undertaken that day, whilst also encouraging students to work independantly to complete tasks.
- Competence in using an online platform in order to benefit the overall progress of individuals.
The requirements for the tutor are as follows:
- A degree (preferably related to the subjects being taught)
- Teachers holding QTS are encouraged to apply, especially if they are not able to work due to school closures.
