Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Sheffield (S4, S5, S6, S35)
Start Date: Flexible / January 2026
Contract Type: Full-time & Part-time roles available
Pay: £120 – £200 per day (depending on experience)
Teaching Personnel is partnering with a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Sheffield to recruit Early Career Teachers (ECTs). This is an excellent opportunity for newly qualified teachers to gain valuable classroom experience, develop confidence, and start their teaching career with the guidance of an experienced education recruitment team.
The Role:

Teaching across EYFS, KS1, or KS2 (depending on placement)

Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum

Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs

Working collaboratively with experienced teachers, support staff, and parents
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is due to qualify
-
Is an ECT looking to gain experience in primary schools
-
Is enthusiastic, motivated, and eager to develop teaching practice

Demonstrates good classroom organisation and communication skills
-
Is committed to supporting pupil progress and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
