Pay Rate: £89.38 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

Start 2026 by making a real difference! Teaching Personnel is looking for a resilient, empathetic SEN Support Worker to provide dedicated 1:1 support for young people with special educational needs and behavioural challenges in our partnered specialist schools.
This is a hands-on role where flexibility is key—every day brings new challenges and opportunities. You’ll work across all key stages (ages 3–19), supporting pupils who may struggle to engage in a typical classroom environment. Your mission? Help them feel safe, understood, and ready to thrive.
We’re looking for someone calm, patient, and adaptable—able to build strong relationships and apply effective strategies for behaviour management and de-escalation when needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Resilient, patient, and understanding attitude
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN and challenging behaviours
- Ability to deliver consistent 1:1 and small group support
- Skills in managing and de-escalating behaviour effectively
- Commitment to boosting pupil engagement and emotional development
- Willingness to assist with personal care, mobility, and sensory needs
- Dedication to creating an inclusive learning environment
Requirements
Teaching Personnel can guide you through the process, but you’ll need:
- To be 18 or over
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Level 2 Safeguarding training
- Two professional references covering 24 months employment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
