NTP Primary Numeracy and Literacy Tutors required!
Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit primary numeracy and/or literacy tutors looking to start in September. With the additional funding being granted for the National Tutoring Programme (NTP) by the government, and Teaching Personnel being one of the registered providers, we require additional tutors who are ready to provide the best education for these children.
The children that you will be tutoring have fallen behind due to Covid-19 and require extra tuition so that their education has not been hindered. We need our tutors to be engaging, interactive, but most importantly fun. We want your personality to come out and make sure that the students look forward to the sessions and gain the most out of the 15hour blocks they are entitled to.
The schools can request that lessons are taught online through various sites, Zoom, Bramble, Skype, so it’s even more important your enthusiasm can come through the screen. Sessions may also be face to face, depending on the school’s requirements and preferences.
The ideal NTP Tutor:
- Tutor or Teaching experience (minimum 6 months) in primary or online settings
- Planning, and prepping experience (essential)
- PGCE AND QTS (essential)
- NTP Ready training (Teaching Personnel can provide the training for you)
- Excellent Time management skills
- Will have an up-to-date DBS check registered to the update service (Teaching Personnel can assist in this)
- Reliable and committed to the NTP programme, supporting specific children with learning loss
Why work with Teaching Personnel?
- Hours pay rate of GBP25 - GBP35 per hour
- Free CPD training Courses – Safeguarding, Team Teach and more
- Largest Education Recruitment agency in the country
- Your own dedicated specialist recruiter to find you the work you want
- Accredited with Recruitment and Employment Confederation
The NTP provides schools with 15 hour, 1 hour blocks per student, so commitment is required from the tutors, and could mean more than 2 sessions per week per student. Sharing groups could be possible, but most schools want the children to have the same tutors throughout the programme.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
