The school based in the heart of Portmouth is looking to recruit an NQT of Mathematics to grow their already experienced team of teachers. As an NQT at the school, you should be ambitious and dedicated to high expectations of not only your students but also yourself. The school offer a fully comprehensive NQT programme which produces some of the most successful teachers in the area who go on to become outstanding practitioners.

The department has a dedicated suit of classrooms equipped with laptops and projectors to enhance the teaching and learning that takes place within them. The school are passionate about delivering a world class programme that is inclusive of all learners. They employ an intervention specialist in addition to an already large team to ensure that all learners achieve their potential and to support across the team.

To be considered for the role, you:

• Most hold UK QTS and have a strong first Degree in Maths or related subject
• Must be able to provide good-excellent references from your placement schools
• Should be able to provide evidence of your commitment to your CPD
• Should be able to inspire, challenge and motivate students
• Should be able to demonstrate use of effective assessment for learning
• Should be able to work under pressure and manage your workload to meet deadlines and for your own personal well-being
• Have expert knowledge of the Maths Curriculum for KS3 and GCSE
• Should be whiling to contribute to the departments extra curricular programme
• Should be a reflective teacher and show innovation in your planning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
