Learning Support Assistant
Location: Andover, Hampshire
Hours: Monday–Friday, Term Time Only
Pay: £14.25 per hour
We are seeking Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist school in the Andover area supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication difficulties, moderate learning difficulties, and SEMH needs.
The Role
You will work alongside teachers and support staff to provide effective learning and pastoral support. Responsibilities will include:

Providing one-to-one and small-group support

Assisting with classroom activities and learning

Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
-
Promoting communication, confidence, independence, and social development
-
Building positive relationships with pupils
-
Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff

Supporting pupils during transitions, breaktimes, and activities
About You
We are looking for candidates who are patient, reliable, resilient, and supportive, with a genuine interest in working with children and young people.
Previous experience in education is advantageous but not essential. Relevant backgrounds may include education, care, youth work, coaching, childcare, healthcare, mental health support, or customer-facing roles.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
