Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with a primary school in Penarth who are looking for an experienced and confident Primary Teacher to join their team.

The school is seeking a teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, establish a positive classroom environment and ensure pupils are supported to make strong progress throughout the academic year.

This is an opportunity to join a supportive school environment where you will work closely with colleagues to provide pupils with a positive and engaging learning experience.

The Role

The successful teacher will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Curriculum for Wales
  • Creating an inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can participate
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs and abilities of individual pupils
  • Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly
  • Establishing clear expectations around behaviour and classroom routines
  • Developing positive relationships with pupils and encouraging their confidence
  • Working effectively alongside Teaching Assistants and other support staff
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues and contributing to wider school planning
  • Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development
  • Contributing positively to the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate

The school would like to hear from teachers who are:

  • Qualified to teach in Wales and hold QTS
  • Experienced within a primary school setting
  • Confident planning and delivering lessons independently
  • Able to differentiate effectively
  • Strong classroom managers
  • Creative and engaging in their approach to teaching
  • Adaptable and able to respond to different pupil needs
  • Committed to creating an inclusive learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
