Job description

Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming primary school in the St Athan area who are looking to appoint a Primary Teacher to join their team.

The school has a strong community feel and provides a varied and engaging environment for pupils. They are looking for a teacher who can bring energy, creativity and consistency to the classroom while working closely with the wider school team.

This would be a great opportunity for a teacher looking for a new role within the Vale of Glamorgan, whether you're an experienced teacher or looking to take the next step in your career.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum
  • Creating engaging learning experiences that encourage pupils to participate
  • Differentiating lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning styles
  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing appropriate feedback
  • Establishing positive classroom routines and expectations
  • Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development
  • Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other school staff
  • Adapting your approach to meet individual pupil needs
  • Contributing to assessment, planning and wider school activities
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and the wider school community

What We're Looking For

The school is looking for a teacher who is:

  • Qualified to teach in Wales and holds QTS
  • Confident managing a primary classroom
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
  • Organised and adaptable
  • A strong communicator and team player
  • Committed to creating an inclusive learning environment
  • Passionate about helping pupils achieve their potential

Teaching Personnel can provide ongoing support throughout your placement, alongside access to further teaching opportunities across St Athan, Barry and the wider Vale of Glamorgan.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
