Job description

  • Full time MFL Teacher (French and Spanish) – Bolton
  • Starting September 2020 - view to become a permanent member of staff
  • Pay in line with teacher pay scale MPS/UPS - GBP24,343 - GBP40, 490
  • Taking on full departmental responsibility – planning and delivering an MFL timetable consisting of both French and Spanish across KS3 and KS4 in line with the current national curriculum for languages.
  • Assessing pupil progress in the subject with both oral and written examinations

  • Post available to MFL Teachers of all levels (QTS) – teaching both French and Spanish

The successful MFL Teacher will deliver a full French and Spanish timetable, covering a maternity in the department, in line with the current national curriculum covering; grammar, vocabulary and linguistic competence for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE). Teaching should focus on developing the breadth and depth of pupils’ competence in listening, speaking, reading and writing. The MFL Teacher will be comfortable delivering lessons to all pupil abilities and be flexible in your approach to teaching.

The successful MFL Teacher will be competent in the planning and marking of lessons, and engage in internal training and parent’s evening when required. Feedback from previous teachers at this school is consistently positive, mainly commending the high level of support given from the Senior Leadership Team. This will be a fantastic opportunity for the successful MFL Teacher.

Located close to Bolton town centre, near to Farnworth and Moses Gate. The school has a onsite car park for staff and is very accessible using public transport from in and around of Bolton.
