SEN Maths Teacher Required

My client is a specialist SEMH school based in the Medway area. The school is looking for an enthusiastic Maths teacher to work across both Key Stages 3 & 4. The successful candidates will deliver lessons to pupils with a variety of behavioural and emotional needs and difficulties, ranging in age from 11 – 18 years.

Candidates will preferably have a proven record of good to outstanding classroom teaching and curriculum innovation in a special or mainstream school. This post would suit a Secondary teacher with a specialism in Mathematics. However, applications from NQTs with a commitment to working with pupils with Specials Needs are also welcome to apply.

Effective classroom practice and an overriding commitment to pupil progress will be essential attributes and a commitment to meeting a wide range of pupil needs. Teaching that encompasses different learning styles through differentiation, personalisation and active engagement, will also be key aspects of the successful candidates practice.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
