Maths Intervention Specialist Teaching Assistant Required

Grade 4 (£18,672 - £20,141 pro rata)

Fixed term 35 hours per week/ Term time only

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a proven track record of successfully implementing specific maths interventions, helping to raise the attainment of all pupils? Are you looking to work in a school that values all staff and ensures that all staff are fully supported in order to successfully develop and succeed in what they do? Do you have experience working with Pixel?

If so a larger than average primary school located in the M5 area of Salford, just off the A5063 and local to Media City with strong links to the BBC there, is looking to appoint a Maths Specialist Teaching Assistant to help run and support Maths interventions across Years 5 and 6. This role requires someone who is adaptable, flexible and has a real willingness to make a difference in pupils learning helping to narrow the gap with pupils that have come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

In order to be successful for this role you should:

• Have strong maths subject knowledge.
• Have experience planning and implementing specific maths interventions.
• Have experience supporting in a full class setting, small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
• Be adaptable and flexible.
• Be a good communicator and be able to work as part of a team.
• Have previous experience of supporting across either Year 5 or Year 6.
• Have effective behaviour management techniques.
• Have a real passion for making a difference in pupil's lives.
• Have a calm, caring and nurturing rapport with pupils.
