Job description

SEN Teaching assistant for Salford Primary School

Location: M5

An excellent, fast-growing school with a ‘GOOD’ Ofsted rating is looking to recruit for an SEN Teaching assistant. With a ‘GOOD’ Ofsted rating in all areas, this school embraces diversity and inclusivity with a large proportion of the children having English as an additional language (EAL). The school prides themselves on having a welcoming and positive atmosphere and place high value on developing strong relationships with parents and carers, working together to cater for the best interests of the children,

About the role:

-          Full time position, (Monday – Friday) term time only

-          Supporting children with SEN with their class work (both 1:1 and groupwork)

-          300 pupils, age range 5-11

-          Supporting the teacher with preparation and managing the classroom

About you:

-          Experience working with SEN children / within a SEN provision

-          Passionate about making learning fun

-          Encouraging and supporting

-          Nurturing nature

-          Ability to use various techniques in behaviour management

-          Experience in letters and sound phonics is desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
