Teaching Personnel work closely with a Leyland based SEN School who are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work with their most challenging pupils. The School is smaller than an average mainstream School but caters for approximately 45 pupils across KS3/4. The pupils in School have a range of needs including; Autism, ADHD, Asperger's, ODD, PMLD and some pupils have physical disabilities and therefore candidates might be expected to deliver personal care when required.
The role will be full time after initially starting on more of an ad-hoc basis. The role will be suited to a hard working, enthusiastic and passionate Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils with SEN. The candidate suited to this role will also ideally hold their Team Teach qualification but this is not essential.
The candidate must be willing to provide personal care, have experience supporting children or adults with challenging behaviours and/or SEN and be looking for a long term, full time role in education.
The School are hoping to trial candidates within the next 2 weeks and the role is likely to start after the February half term.
The successful candidate will benefit from:
- Negotiable pay rates £54 - 64 per day
- Long term position available
- Rewarding position supporting pupils with SEMH Difficulties
