Job Opportunity: Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel is seeking a skilled and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated good secondary school in Bramhall. This full-time position starts ASAP and continues until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the role to become permanent based on performance. The pay for this role ranges from £419.25 to £500 per week.

Role Overview:

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting both teachers and students to enhance the learning experience and ensure academic success. Your responsibilities will include providing tailored support to individual students, assisting with classroom management, and contributing to the overall positive environment of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

Student Support:

  • Provide individualized and group support to students, helping them to overcome academic challenges and succeed in their studies.
  • Assist students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive appropriate resources and interventions to facilitate their learning.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, offering constructive feedback and working with teachers to adapt learning plans as needed.

Classroom Assistance:

  • Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and effective lessons, preparing and organizing teaching materials and resources.
  • Support classroom management by implementing behavior management strategies and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Assist with the supervision of students during lessons, breaks, and extracurricular activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Administrative Support:

  • Help with the preparation and maintenance of classroom displays and learning environments.
  • Undertake administrative tasks such as record-keeping, filing, and photocopying to support teachers and the school's administrative staff.
  • Assist in organizing and participating in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to meet the needs of students and contribute to their overall development.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and carers, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working as a teaching assistant, preferably in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of the curriculum and strategies to support student learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a supportive approach to working with young people.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
