Teaching Personnel are working alongside a 'Good' Ofsted rated large Secondary Academy in Wigan to aid them in recruiting new Teaching Assistants into their team for the new academic year.

• Full-time and part-time (3 days per week) Teaching Assistant roles available for September 2019
• Must hold Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Working alongside class teachers supporting students aged 11-16 in classes
• Providing tuition and small group interventions to pupils ranging in ability
• Opportunity to cover pre-planned lessons with the support of class teachers
• Gain experience in a classroom setting
• Earn up to £300 per week, depending upon previous experience

As a Teaching Assistant within our client school, responsibilities will include:

• Working 1:1 with identified pupils that require additional support within subjects such as English and Maths
• Supporting the class teacher and covering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher
• Delivering intervention sessions to raise pupil attainment

With over 1000 pupils, the school is in need of extra staff to guarantee students are supported and that teachers also have the help they require in the classroom. To be considered for this role, a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is necessary. Experience working within a educational setting with children and young people is also desirable alongside experience in English and Maths.

Located near Wigan, our client school can be accessed from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester via the M6 and A49. For candidates who do not have their own transportation, there are several links to public transportation from areas such as Bolton, Bury and Salford.
